Pete has his hockey roots as a trainer/coach career in the Netherlands with various clubs, but moved to Malta, at the age of 32, in 1996, where he since has been coaching hockey at club level, the Maltese National hockey men, running various elite programs and currently is active as head coach of Marsascala Heat Hockey Club.

 
In his active hockey career, he obtained his nickname “ Pietje “ by one of his former teammates in Holland, big guy, diminutive name !

 

After his hockey career, he started his own businesses and has been successful, but has been retired since 2023, to fully focus on hockey as a sport, in whatever form.

He sees Beach Hockey as a new challenge for the hockey world.
